EnVibe and Foster High School’s Furious Falcons Robot!

Tom Ritter / Community Involvement /

EnVibe_Furious-Falcons-Foster-HighSchool_Robot_4328_wEnVibe’s commitment to the next generation of bright minds in engineering, technology and science is evident: The Furious Falcons of Foster High School in Richmond, TX would love to thank EnVibe for sponsorship of FIRST Team’s 4328 Robotic 2013 Competition!

EnVibe’s sponsorship of this weekend’s competition (March 7-9) at George R. Brown Convention Center helped create The Furious Falcon’s Frisbees shooting robot by enabling purchase of extruded aluminum and various robotic related parts and equipment. EnVibe’s support has enabled our team to purchase motors, bolts, bumper materials, as well as the lumber needed to construct practice goals for this year’s competition.

EnVibe LOVES the The Furious Falcons Team 4328 and is proud to support the vision of teacher Jared Murphy for his commitment to this project and his students. Go Team!

EnVibe is in alignment with FIRST’s vision and mission statement: “To transform our culture by creating a world where science and technology are celebrated and where young people dream of becoming science and technology leaders.”

About FIRST: “The varsity Sport for the Mind,” FRC (FIRST Robotics Competition) combines the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology. Under strict rules, limited resources, and time limits, teams of 25 students or more are challenged to raise funds, design a team “brand,” hone teamwork skills, and build and program robots to perform prescribed tasks against a field of competitors.  It’s as close to “real-world engineering” as a student can get. Volunteer professional mentors lend their time and talents to guide each team.

Furious Falcon's Team 4328 Robot!

FIRST’s mission is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.
